First of all the bat would be illegal @ 135 mph.....98 top rating for most bats...:rulez:

Well, she's always wanted to pitch too ! I think she's in the low 90's now.
I'll have to work on that. Ha Ha
Those RipIts are supposed to be pretty good...Only comes in a 9 oz drop right now. At least , as far as I have seen ...

For the record, that's not how the 98 mph rating works. 98 refers to rebound in a standard test on an testing apparatus. Theoretically, if you had a 2 mph bat, you could make a ball come off of it at 135, or any other speed, if you could swing it hard enough and it didn't destroy the bat.

I do think 135 sounds like a bit of a stretch.

On the thread of new bats....how are your 2007 RT's hitting?

My daughter only had a dozen games total in Atlanta and Chattanooga to swing her new 2007 RT FP. No home runs, but in Chattanooga she hit that fence (pic below) in the air twice for two triples, it was not labeled in feet, but was a least 200' and 20' high. In Atlanta she hit the fence on a cold night @ 225' (labeled ) in a strong head wind. But I was wondering what kind of performance other girls have had ?

This hit was a liner to grass for single.

    what stat's i have

to date, 145 bats sold for 2007, playing in last 5 tournaments. have heard from 42 parents/kids, with a reported 162 home runs in those five tournaments. most coming off of 32" bats, so thats in the 13-16 yr old range, and 25% of those were their first home runs over the fence. 22 girls had multiple home runs in a tournament and 6 girls had multiple home runs in a game. sounds like stat's that we were getting from the 2004 model (black). also know of 92 girls getting bats for xmas. gonna be an interesting year for hitters next year. had very few reports from girls over 16yrs old, as these bats came out so late in the fall, but will start getting these when hs starts up. rejection rate is non existant, have had one bat returned out of 295 sold( small dent), and company reports that they have had less than one tenth of one percent returned (over 11,000 bats sold in first thirty days). biggest compliment i have had about this bat is the handling. not so much end weighted as before, easier to stop and reload for change up on bigger bats. less sting off of bat in colder weather is reported also.

composite bats are about to hit the market next year, with all major manuf.s getting their bats approved in the first quarter. bats will be costly, but performance will rival current bats, with less weight and reported better handling. we'll see, as i will have demo's when they assemble the first batch of 50pc. i'm sure someone will try this bat out for me.
ya'all have a nice christmas and happy new year and i would ask that everyone remember one thing: this is, and SHOULD always be, about the girls.
