How about a season long thread for exceptional single game achievements. Not your run of the mill 2-4's, 1-3's, complete games but no-no's, 1 hit shut outs, walk-off (homers) and multi home run games. Braves can be the judge and jury of thread worthyness. I'll start.

    Jack O'Rouke

Jack helped preserve a 8-7 win for N. Durham over Wake Forest Rolesville on Monday by going 3-3 with two home-runs (one a grand slam), a double and 5 rbi. Jack led off the game with a solo shot in the first, doubled in the third and hit a grand slam in the sixth. Have a day Mr. O'Rouke.

    Pratt Maynard

South Granvilles Pratt Maynard went 6 2/3 innings giving up four hits and 2 runs against the #2 ranked 2A team in the state Whiteville. Pratt struck out (17) batters. That means of the 20 outs recorded while he was pitching only three were not strike outs. It was an absolute dominating performance by the future Wolfpacker Pratt Maynard against a very good ball club.

In past years, Pratt has been a notorious slow starter at the plate for us before catching fire in mid and late season. This year he has a 2B and 3B with 5 RBIs through 3 games so far. He's swinging it well in practice. Works on his swing religiously. Relishes time on the tee and in hitting stations.

    Wolf Pack Nation

I have always been a big Tar Heel fan. And my son is going to be a Tar Heel in just a few months. But when my other son Pratt decided to go to NC State I also became a huge WolfPack fan. NC State got an absolute stud when they got Pratt. He was up to 89 on the stalker and the kid can pitch. And you will not see a sweeter lh swing with his kind of power at the hs level. He is off to a good start with the stick and like Coach F3 said Pratt has never started fast but always finished very strong. He has over 20 career hr's going into this season. One thing people have to realize is Pratt doesnt get a whole lot to hit. In fact its rare when he does. But he absolutely punishes the baseball when he does.

    Travis Smith

Pitched a complete game 5-0 shutout on opening day against 4A powerhouse Apex on a very cold day. Travis punched out 12 batters and only gave up only 3 hits. Travis is picking right up from where he left off this summer and fall. Congrats Travis.:smoke:
