Thanks for a great weekend of Baseball

It was a great weekend of Baseball to start out the Summer Season at Lenoir-Rhyne College. We had a great group of teams (Heat Showcase 2009,2010,2011, South Charlotte Panthers 2009,2010, Georgia Roadrunners, Proehlific Power, Anglers Scout Team, South Charlotte Cougars 2010, Carolina Avalanche 2010, Charlotte Megastars) that enjoyed the competion and weather both days. This event was full of talent and they were able to Showcase it in front of a good number of College and Pro scouts. I want to thank the Teams, Coaches, Families, Fans, Umpires and scouts for making this Memorial Day weekend tournament another great one.

Now you know stuff like that is kept top secret so everyone will need to come and see these boys play! .. but since it is you.. I'll let you in on the secret.. It was PLATE DAD, cleverly disguised as a young good looking kid, humble as can be, and exhibiting lot's of good vocabulary!!

Seriously, this young man is a fine one as are the other Heat 09's. Scott and Jason have put together some extremely good talent and families on all the Heat teams. This summer is going to be a blast!

And BTW, it was great seeing TJ again. He said you were tied up with little brother..

It's funny OAC, he said he had a number of parents that came up to him asking if he was Braves' son. He answered it perfectly, "it depends".

Then he had one kid come up to him and angrily told him. "Your dad doesn't know what he's talking about....." and my son said he looked at him squarely in the eyes and said, "And that's new?"

Geez....some people take this stuff too seriously.
