Braves. This could be a plant from the other side. Just be careful. By the way. Cystal ball says TB over LAD. I saw a broom. But, not sure about a sweep.

not a plant; just invested informant. #6 McGrath will play at the next level. Several more position players as well, not to mention the pitchers.

First of all, welcome to TBR. One of the things we try to do here is find out names of players deserving of recognition. During the school season we are not looking for "studs", but players that had a good game (could have been a player off the bench), But in the fall we are looking for names of players that distinguish themselves as "players to watch."

Bunky mentioned a team that most aren't familiar with, but he seemed to know the players. That's why I asked him for names.

College coaches read this board and participate. They realize that parents on TBR can "pump up their son's accomplishments" and they are very wary of that. Once they get to know who the posters are and which ones they respect (happens when they can confirm opinions of players), then the posting of names become more valuable.

Think of TBR as having two seasons:

    - HS season is when we post all names of players that deserve recognition, regardless of talent, due to their effort in their team's win.

    - The other season is devoted to summer and fall baseball when we are looking for names and accomplishments of established and new stars. This is when we congratulate the established one's for their signing or commitment to the next level and recognizing (or place on the radar) of players that college recruiters would be interested in.

The biggest concern we have is when someone "blows up" a player. To give an example is a particular pitcher that was said to throw consistently 88-89 and topping out at 92. When scouts checked him out he was consistently 82-84. At first they thought he must be injured, then they concluded the information was wrong and he never did throw upper 80's. Many schools turned their backs on him thinking he must have an injury......it was a shame, but people need to realize they MUST post accurate information, otherwise the poster and TBR loses credibility. It would have been so easy to attack that members opinion about the player, but we are on the internet and his parents read what's posted. We're not going to attack anyone, much less a player and his ability. That's not the purpose of this board.

We have ML scouts, college coaches, HS coaches, Showcase coaches, parents and players on this board.. In the past year, (according to LarryD, our administrator) we had over 10 million visitors to TBR. I know that our moderator, Stretchy, makes up 5 million of them, but that is still a lot of people and hits reading this site.

    Need to send

him the Plate Dad Translator. I am thinking about selling them starting next year. I was thinking that $9.95 plus free shipping/handling would be a good start. But, my stock was not part of the bailout. So now think $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

Perhaps we should demand that all members get one. As your partner we should make a killin'. Let's see.

10 million visitors with half of them being real people not multiple aliases.

19.95 times 5 million guzinta 2 = lot's of money and will pay for at least 1 dinner at The Beef Mastor.

Plus, as the majority partner, I get half of PD's. Shoot, hurry up Plate Dad. Get those translators ready...I've got somebody knocking at my door and I think he is demanding some cash.
