Ok all you softball experts(LOL). Is it legal to heat bats during a tournament if it is below 50 degrees. Or is it different for each sanction. Just asking

    What kind of heat?

Are you asking about the type of warming sleeves they sell so you can keep your bat above freezing and protect it from cracking? Or are you talking about a team having a industrial sized space heater in the dugout with the bats cooking away in front of it?

Well I have a product idea if heating bats is allowed. Someone should design a portable propane heated bat rotisserie. This way every bat can be placed on a rotating rack and heated to 90+ degrees all the way around. This will make sure that when that 30 degree hard as a rock softball hits the flexible 90 degree bat, it will fly out of the park or into a defensive players face. And if the bat comes apart due to the heating, it will make for an exciting duck and catch game for the defense.

Really-- is this what our game is coming to just to get a "W" in your colunm?
