Ask the coach. I have no doubt he is a man of honor and will tell you if he wants you to know.

    Or the umpire.

I did ask the coach!....he told me, our AD and others there, that all he told that ump was "thats a brutal call"....and that ump had to have told the powers that be, thats all he said, cause he was allowed back...so hopefully that ump learned a lesson that he cant go "ejecting" coaches without knowing the criteria for it!....I was there, I didnt hear it, and unless you were sitting right in front of me, you didnt hear anything either....

    an older thread, but...

Found out that it was the umpire that ruled it a DQ, and not the NCHSAA.

So the umpire changed it from an ejection to a DQ later? I clearly heard the plate umpire declare it was an ejection. And the coach had to leave.

All I know about this case is the field umpire tossed the coach and the field umpire conveyed it as a DQ and the NCHSAA did not make the decision.

I was not there, but if the umpire ruled it a DQ I can only assume profanity was not involved.

Last I'm going to say about this. The field umpire made the decision to remove the coach from the game. The plate umpire, after consulting with the field umpire, made the coach leave the field. Other officials consulted with the plate umpire and the plate umpire confirmed it was an ejection. The plate umpire was told that the coach would have to leave the facility. The plate umpire told those officials that she had no control outside the fence.

That's it. That's the facts I know about it. I'm not assuming anything except that what I saw and heard was changed after the fact to a DQ instead of an ejection.
