Personally I think you have to ready to hit early in the count. Sometimes the first pitch is the best one you'll see. Everyone knows that with 2 strikes you have to protect and swing at anything close. Don't let the umpire determine your outcome. Get in the box focused on hitting. It starts when you're in the dugout, in the hole, and on deck (it probably starts the day before the game and the day of). If you have historically been a good hitter you'll be fine. Be agrressive and swing the bat. You'll be fine. Good luck.

Thanks everybody. I have heard most of all of this from my coach and my dad who was my coach for 8 yrs. My HS coach says if i hit like i pitched i would be batting the 3 hole. I have never faced a hitter that i dont think i can get out but i think too much i guess at the plate. I know it is mental so i just have to find something to clear my head and regain my confidence.

Baylee i like your advice. It seems simple but it could work.

My pleasure. A simple approach may help get you kick-started again. Once you've regained your confidence your mindset will change from "don't strike out" to "which open hole am I hitting this pitch to" - but also remember - there is not substitute for hard work...reps...reps...reps...reps...reps=muscle memory=success
