Sorry I missed you this year Wossa, was actually planning on watching local boys play in Raleigh (NCState/App.St.) series, but didn't make that either,,,, may be looking at having back surgery, not getting around much these days, trying some heavy duty meds.

Heard local boy Jerod Faggart went 2/4 today for App and Garrett Sherrill got his first save of season as App split doubleheader with the mighty Wolfpack.

Hopefully your Ragsdale boys took it easy on everybody today, I hear your loaded yet again. Maybe I can get up with you sometime during the regular season.

... of course with my legion hat on...

I was there. Proudly wearing my TBR hat. Only problem was the umpires were giving me dirty looks. Has somebody been on here talking bad about the boys in blue?

Good day for baseball yesterday. Ragsdale won two. 6-5 over NW Guilford and something like 12-5 over Kannapolis. Ragsdale got a lot of pitchers and players in. Both teams got most of their runs off Ragsdale's lower ranked pitchers. Kannapolis got three or four after Ragsdale pitcher had struck out the side but out three reached on a passed ball. You have to hate those three out rallies.

McBride looked good (although Kannapolis hit some hard balls on him), so did Coffey, Andrejco and especially Bennet Hixson. Zach Hodges, a tall, lanky freshman looked good for Ragsdale too.

Soph Ben Fultz, after rolling his ankle beating out a throw in the first game, came back and blasted a homer run in the second game and beat out another deep shot to short (although he was called out). That kid is a great player. Seems like everybody had at least one good hit for the Tigers. And to satisfy a special request I have to give props to soph Mike Whited who had a double to the wall, advanced to third and score on a sac. Looked good in the field too at second and third. Kids a gamer like his brother.

Ragsdale opens the season Tuesday at home against Mt Tabor. Going to be a great way to kick things off
