    TayMill Pledges Mars Hill

    Congrats to MP for a great win. West Stanly is very good.

    I got a text last night from Taylor and she said:

    "Hey, I just wanted to let you know what a big step I have taken for my future. I just verbally commetted to play SB for Mars Hill. If I keep my grades up and score high on the SAT, I can potentially get more scholarship money. I am so excited".

    At the end of the day, isn't that why we coach, why they play, and why parents do what they do?

    Taylor is a great kid with a great and giving family. A few years ago, her parents, Robert (RobMill on TBR) and Callie had triplets but then felt pulled by the Lord to adopt a boy and a girl who were in tough circumstances.

    This could not happen to a nicer family...I was hoping for a long time that my oldest could room with Tay in college. Thats how much I think of her and them.

    Great job Tay, you have to work HARDER than ever now...none of this>:sleep:

    I don't brag enough on my own kid (and one that we have "adopted", but will do it today.)You have to forgive me...sorry up front

    Down 4-1 in the top of the 7th to a very good pitcher in Lexi Davis, Piedmont started to climb back in it. Bases loaded, 2 down, and Hayley Whitley (my adopted kid... :daisy:) clears the bases with a shot to right center. Ties up the game at 4-4. First base coach held her at 1b to make sure she didn't make the third out going to second. Then Caroline comes up :sweatdrop: and smacks the game winner to right center, one hopper of the fence to score Hayley from first. She said she didn't even think it was a strike, high and outside, but she went after it....

    Taylor Flynn with the win on the mound, critical save by Casey Baucom for Piedmont. Shelby Baucom, great day at the plate and scored the tying run, 3-4 on the afternoon.

    Hayley works as hard as any kid I have ever been around. They sweetest kid you will ever want to meet to boot.

    C Hittin' .390 so far this season with over half of her hits going for extra bases.

    Caroline, love you babe. You make me proud everyday with who you are in the classroom, as a ball player, and who you are as a person.

    Dad:winkiss::winkiss:

    First place all alone as of now in the conference.
