    Harnett Central 2
    Triton 0
    Another classic pitchers duel with CFVC 1st place on the line.
    McKenzie Harrelson(WP) 15 Ks
    Candice Faircloth (LP) 12 Ks
    Top of twelfth Emma Cotton singled to lead off. Tab Williford laid down a perfect bunt that squirted between the pitcher and third baseman for a base hit. Sara Klingel sacrifice bunted down first base line to move runners into scoring position. McKenzie Harrelson slapped one over shortstop to score both runners. Pandemonium ensued in HC dugout.:schlacht:
    Triton failed to capitalize on 2 walks in bottom half of the inning when 2nd baseman Kalyn Parker caught a smokin' line drive off the bat of Kelsey Lee and flipped to shortstop for a double play to end the game.
    HC JV won too 4-3 to remain undefeated on the season.

    A BIG SHOUT to Ellen (ELWOOD) Stout for hitting her 1st HS Home Run Ellen is doing a GREAT Job this season with her bat. South Rowan is young but you better watch out NPC they are going to get alot better before long !!!!!!

    Northwood drops game to Middle Creek 4-0. Well played game that will give Northwood valuable experience as the season progresses.

    TAYLOR CARPENTER - 7 INNINGS PITCHED, 10 HITS ALLOWED, 4 WALKS, 3 STRIKEOUTS

    LEADING HITTERS:

    1. GEORGIA PARKER - 4 FOR 4, DOUBLE, TWO RUN HR, 2 RBI'S
    2. ALLISON STARNES - 2 FOR 3, 2 TWO RUN HR'S, 3 RUNS SCORED, WALK, 4 RBI'S
    3. LINDSEY HUNEYCUTT - 2 FOR 4, DOUBLE, 2 RUNS SCORED, 2 RBI'S
    4. SARAH RITCHIE - 1 FOR 3, DOUBLE, 1 RBI

    ALL NINE HITTERS IN LINEUP EACH HAD AT LEAST ONE HIT. HAD 14 HITS AS A TEAM.

    SP - Stacey Houser
    Kayla Pine gets the save coming in to pitch the 6th & 7th innings.

    Lake Norman was down 6-3, bottom of the 7th and scored 4 runs to get this win. Congratulations to the team for not giving up!
