    Butler @ Providence (SW4A Game)

    Butler 3 (12-1 I believe)
    Providence 2 (9-2, only losses are to Butler)

    Playoff atmosphere. Great game! Some great plays, some errors, timely hits by both teams, good pitching performances...Fans got more then what they paid for. Too bad if you missed this one.

    Someone had to win and lose...0-0 through 5 innings. Both teams scored their runs in the 6th. Both sides had other opportunities to score, but defense and pitching got out of the jams.

    Butler 4 hits - 1 error (did not hurt Butler). Had two tremendous timely hits in 6th.
    Providence 7 hits - 5 errors (not as bad as it seems on paper...a couple weird instances, but only one error hurt Providence).

    A lot of fun.

    Kalie Lang was dominant in this game and AK's defense played very well. Jen Rosene clubbed a bases loaded double to put three on the board for AK.

    I was informed Kalie Lang pitched three one hitters this week. Outstanding and congrats to her and AK.

    Nice Tandem

    IMO, Ardrey Kell has probably the best 1-2 pitching combo in the entire Central Piedmont region. In every game, Kalie Lang (Sr.), and Jen Rosene (Jr.) are capable of shutting a team down. It doesn't hurt that both of these young ladies are swinging hot bats as well.

    Kalie and Jen are as impressive off the field as they are on the field. Great job ladies.

    Keep your eye on AK down the stretch. They are going to be a very tough out in the NC 4A Playoffs.

    On Tuesday, look for AK to definitely crack the Top 10 of the Coaches Poll. If they aren't there, then somebody is just not paying attention.

    I don't know the other young lady, but Kalie Lang is one tuff customer. I know how proud Larry is of his DD.
