    Hopewell jumps on top with 3 in the first. In bottom of second, Weddington comes back with 2 run bomb to right center by Taylor Morris. Hopewell scores three in top of 5th to close out the scoring.

    Lincolnton Lady Wolves vs Highland Tech & East Lincoln

    From the Lincoln Times News:

    Lady Wolves 1, Mustangs 0

    Taylor Shelton allowed four hits, struck out 11 with no walks and hit a batter in a 1-0 win Tuesday over East Lincoln.
    Shelton also had the only hit for the Lady Wolves. After Shelton’s single the next batter walked, a passed ball allowed her to advance to third and then Brittany Fowler had a sacrifice bunt to score the game-winning run.

    Mon.
    Lincolnton 7, HT 6

    Harlie Roberts pitched six solid innings while striking out seven and allowing eight hits. Shelton struck out three in the seventh allowing no hits to keep the Lady Rams at bay.
    A single by Sara Freeman followed by a Shelton doubled scored Freeman in the bottom of the seven with no outs to give the Lady Wolves a 7-6 victory Monday.
    Shelton led the team offensively 2-for-4 with two doubles. Margo Lanier and Morgan Wolf each went 2-for-3. Brittney Morrow went 2-for-4 with a double in the win.

    job Tay. She can hit and pitch. I guess the hand is better. Great kid love to watch her play. Good parents, dad has helped both my DD's.

    Leesville Road 1

    Sanderson's coach, Dana Kadwell, has been steadily building this team for the past year or so and this year they have two conference victories so far. They hadn't won in many years. This is not a case of ready-to-play-kids coming in; this is a case of developing the kids more or less from scratch.

    Thanks, both your DD's are great kids.
    The hand is still a little sore. Was swelling some after the East game. Doc said it would be tender for a couple of weeks, but no major damage.
