    Central Cabarrus wins the 3rd playoff spot with a hard 3-2 win over Robinson tonite. Central will face Davie in the 1st round next Tuesday.

    Cherryville won it's 3rd straight Southern Piedmont conference title going 15-1 in conference play and 21-1 overall for the regular season. This team has a special group of Seniors that finished their regular season careers tonight with a win over North Lincoln on senior night. Over a 3 year period this group of seniors had a record of 56-16. 4 of the 5 ladies have played together every year since they were 8 years old. Each has played a big roll in the success of Cherryville softball but most important all 5 are great young ladies away from softball!!!

    Thank you to the following Seniors::worshippy::worshippy:
    Jordan McNeely - good leadoff with speed and solid second baseman
    Taylor Long - good pop at the plate for such a small frame, solid shortstop
    Erica (not sure of last name) this lady just loves being out there
    Mary Grace Fraley - very scrappy catcher, solid at the plate
    Emily Self - Pitcher, 21-1 record this year, 49-13 over the last 3 years,
    over 400 K's last 2 years, ERA below 1, among top hitters all
    three years.

    Softball is not all there is to their lives either. They all have high goals for college and beyond. Some in Medicine, Doctors, Lawyer, that is what it is all about!!

    NICE JOB Ladies. It has been a honor to watch you grow up and to watch you play softball for over 10 years!!!!

    Good Luck in the playoffs!!

    Mary Grace Fraley......remember the name from several years ago when my DD played a couple of tournaments with the Dazzle. She made an impression as a fine young lady then and I am sure she has only gotten better. Super young lady...congratulations!!

    I only got to see a few innings of the first game. Looked like alot of good defense and pitching going on.
