hitnrun, thanks for the scores you have provide and great job by the Blue Devils softball team but would you post the remaining schedule and or tournament dates/locations for us! Huge win over 1A #1 cherryville and will get you into the Top 10 in the state poll next Monday! Hopefully your coach will post her weekly scores with ihigh.com, especially since you guys are on a roll and the playoffs are upon us!

Whats Kings Mtn's record and we heard; but nothing posted, that they lost to Crest earlier in the week. Any hitting stats on LaRhonda......a strong candiate for POY in your conference(should garnish some votes)! Brooke Starnes will have earned this years award and SSHS has more in line for this honor next year but KMHS has some bright young talent to challenge them! Good Luck and do keep us on TBR posted!

Central Cabarrus defeated West Meck 10-0 and Vance 12-0.
Haley Scism pitched against West Meck, walking one. Gina Allen pitched against Vance. She pitched very well. Everyone hit well as the scores show. Good Luck to the Vikings who are tied for first place in the Meca-8 conference with the defending state champions Hopewell. Should be interesting since only one of the two teams can make it to Raleigh. :)

Yea, KMHS lost to Crest 3-2 in 9 innings. We had to many errors. Laronda is now our shortstop, since our starting shortstop was let go from the team. Laronda has been playing it now for about a month now & is progressing very well for never having played that position, in my opinion the hardest position to play & get used to. In the game we were losing in the bottom of the 7th, 2 - 1 and had 2 out with nobody on. Laronda got a walk & then stole second on a past ball, next Rachel Hughes got a hit & moved Laronda to third. Rachel stole second. Krysten Funderburke came up & got a hit to score Laronda & move Rachel to third. Krysten then stole second. Now it is tied 2 - 2 with runners on 2nd & third & 2 outs. Britney Thornburg comes up next a delivers a very clutch hit to win the game. WAY TO GO BT & the rest of the girls on the great come back.

    I think our record is now 10 - 10, 4 - 5 conference. Touchemall would no better than I.

Just to warn everyone out here that play Fred T Foard, watch out for the illegal switching by their coach. They tried it against KMHS last night & got busted. They try to use the courtsy runner for the 1st baseman & EH (I think it is the EH). #7 pitched against us & don't remember what the starting catcher's number was. When the first baseman got on base the coach would get a courtsy runner for her saying that she was the pitcher & also the starting catcher. When the Foard coach got busted she had to make the changes & take the starting 1st baseman & starting catcher out. Way to go Ms. Grayson for catching this. I would go so far to say that they have probably done this all year. All the Foard coach did when she got busted was smile and laugh about it, she never argued. After all this happened the starting catcher was told to take her jersey off & go sit in the stands & then the coach told to take off her hat. What is up with that???

SO BEAWARE & KEEP TRACK WHO IS PITCHING & CATCHING when playing Fred T. Foard.
