Congratulations to S. Granville on winning the Carolina 10 conference regular season. Ya'll have a very strong team that should go deep into the State playoffs.

I want to also congratulate the Chargers for finishing in 2nd place. With the loss of talent due to graduation and the injuries to two key players late in the season, this team still had a pretty good year! With up to four freshmen starting sometimes they ended with a winning record. They could be a "spoiler" come playoff time.

I also want to congratulate my DD, Padgett Harrington. She has been a starter for 4 years at Northwood, an all conference selection every year, an all state selection her sophomore year and all district her junior year. She played any position the coaches asked her to play from center field, left and right field, short stop, 1st and 3rd and even catcher this year when our starter went down with an injury. She has grown to be a team leader and, as a captain this year, has held this team together through injuries and drama. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching her play... now maybe some college coach will give her the chance at the next level!
