    Enka vs Polk County at Erwin High 9:45am

    Enka vs AC Reynolds at Erwin High 11:00am

    Enka vs Owen at Owen High 1:00pm

    Enka vs N Buncombe at Owen High 3:15pm

    Alexander scrimmage summary
    Alexander:
    Pierce looked good on the mound for AC and at the plate as she hit a homer. The defense however did look a little shakey but it is early and I look for this to improve. Offensively the girls look ok against Bunker Hill but strugggled a bit against Fred T Foard. With Pierce throwing well look for AC to contend for the conference title this year.

    Bunker Hill:
    Their pitching was pretty good along with the defense. They like AC did show some signs of early season rust on defense but will likley be in full stride in a week or two. Offensively they got some good hits from a couple girls but had a few couple weak hitters. Still all in all a pretty solid team that will amke some noise in their conference.

    Fred T Foard:
    This team looks to be fairly young but with some decent players. The pitcher who faced AC was not very fast but kept the girls off balance with movement and change of speed. Also seemed to have good control. The pitcher who faced S. Caldwell threw harder but also got hit pretty hard by those girls. Almost half of this team hit from the left side but none were slappers. They got some hit but didn't hit with a lot of power. I don't think they will be contenders but they will win some games

    South Caldwell:
    Their pitcher had good speed and control. Also good movement and change of speed. Defensively I couldn't tell much as they didn't get a lot of action in the field but they seemed to be in position ready to make a play. The SC girls hit very well all through their line up with several having good power. An enthusiastic team that should contend in the conference

    Hickory:
    Sorry to say but it will be a tough year for this team
