    Spring Valley beat Lancaster and put the final stake in the Conference Championship Friday night by a score of 9 - 2.

    A solo homer early then a Grand Slam homer later by the same Spring Valley #18 sealed the game.

    Exciting game at Mt. Pleasant last night, won as previously noted by W. Stanly 2-0. Andrea Fowler pitched very good for West as did Kelly Furr for Mount, both giving up 6 hits, Fowler struck out 7 and Furr 8. Chelsea Morton got two big outs in relief for West with the bases loaded in the 7th. Megan Burleson 2 out single scored 2 runs for West. For Mount, Hannah Clark, Jenna Parnell, Maegan Carriker, Elizabeth Fudge, Michelle Steadman, and Kelly Furr had hits.

    Very exciting game to watch, looking forward to the game at West on Thursday. West has a lot of good kids which makes this a fun rivalry.

    Andrea pitches for the Blues, glad to see her doing well. She has tremendous potential. Way to go Megan Burleson, another Blue that does a great job for West. We have had some great games this HS season with lots of young kids stepping it up a notch. The NC girls are getting better and better and as we continue competing against the other states in HS as well as tournament ball, we will have more girls going to quality out of state programs. Good luck to both teams in the rematch. Oh good luck to Britt Cantrell heard she has been on fire with the long ball.:banana:
