    Butler "squeezes" by Myers Park

Butler won a close one tonight. 1 - 0 over Myers Park in 8 innings
The Bulldogs had runners on second and third in the bottom of the eighth, with two out. Freshman Sarah Rappe layed down a picture perfect bunt to squeeze in Mandy Ward (sopohmore) for the winning run. :applause:
It was a great game played by two tough teams.
    Butlers record is now 13 - 0 overall and 6 - 0 SWAAAA conf.

Not to be outdone, the JV is now 10 - 0 with their win over the Mustang JV.
Great job by all teams.

Central improved to 6-0 in conference and now has a two game lead over everyone in the MECA 8 Conference.
    Conference
    Central 6-0
    Hopewell 5-2
    independence 5-2
    North Mecklenburg 5-2
this has the makings of a very interesting second round. The top three go to States. A very good team is going home! My prediction is defending State Champion Hopewell. All three are good.

:xyzthumbs What a game, what a game. Top two pitches in Big South 3A face off for the first time this year, and man did they step it up. Both all conference, both state team, Kayla with high heat and great change up, and Morgan with inside heat and great breaking junk. This game was the best pitching duel I've seen in years. 7 scoreless innings of great pitching, both teams waiting to see who blinked first. Sorry Huss, error, error, error leads to run, run, run. Kudo's to Morgan and Kayla, chin up Huss, and all of us have one thing on our minds, bring on the rematch :applause: Both students of TA. Make ya proud Tony???

Robinson defeated Mt. Pleasant 6-0 Wed. Night. Robinson has a very good team. Good hitting, Tori S. Brittany F., and nice pitching, Teresa V. and also play solid defense. Should be a strong team in the playoffs. MP didn't play bad, Robinson is playing well right now.

MP is at W. Stanly tonight for a big RRC 2A rematch, 7:00
