HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL SHOWCASE

Baseball will have it's 2nd annual Pre-Season Tournament featuring 8+ teams across the state. The matchups are fun. 4A top teams vs 3A and 2A. Last year's inaugural games were fantastic and I know they are looking at expanding the number of teams this year.

To my knowledge these games counted on their schedule...it certainly was not a scrimmage, but out of conference games are meaningless anyway other than helping to get ready for conference games.

I love the concept. Especially when you can feature top teams pitted against each other from different classifications.

 

Can we bring the marching bands??

Your playing good competition... Counts as games played.. what do they get.. 22, 23 games each year.... I would welcome the competition....

Showcase is the correct term. Showcase events are by no means exclusive to TB. Showcase properly implies this is not a tournament where an overall winner is determined, ...nor does there need to be. Nor are showcase events reserved only for TB.

These games are not scrimmages. Scrimmages do not count toward a team's season record. Scrimmages are nothing more than game-like practice sessions that take place prior to the start of the season. All of these are regulation games that count as part of the season total.

Its great that these folks are putting this thing on. High school softball in NC serves a huge number of kids at all talent levels, ...way more than TB.

No Offense , never said there wasn't any talent in these tournaments, but the college coaches along with yourself will be envolved in teams like the NC Wolkpack,etc. during the time frame.... playing---agree ???!!! _Guru
