In Cedar Ridges first game, Cedar Ridge 3 Southern, Alamance 2, Dailey and Mister limited Southern Alamance to 4 hits. Mister pitched very well for 5 innings. Dailey came on strong in the 6th and 7th and got the win. Both did a very good job.

In the second game. Cedar Ridge beat East Chapel Hill, 11 to 10 in 9 1/2 innings. Soph. Matt Cornet recorded the win, pitching the last two innings.
2nd baseman, Chad Burkhart for Cedar Ridge, has had 3 hits in two games and has been a difficult guy to keep off base.

Congrats to Coach Ferrell and South Granville for winning the tourney for the 2nd straight year. Great game against undefeated Orange. Great talent all around for both teams. Josh Darroch's hit with 2 outs was right on time and the Vikings won 9 to 8.

With a grand slam, 5 RBI's and 14 K's overall, Pratt Maynard (3B/P) of SG won Tournament MVP.

    Cannot wait until next year.

    South Granville vs. Orange

South Granville defeats an excellent Orange squad 9-8 to capture the Hilltop championship. Nash Blackley pitched 5 1/3 strong innings before giving way to Josh Darroch. Jake Manzulich went four innings for Orange and Scott Jarvis finished. It took a gritty effort by the Vikings to score three in the bottom of the 7th to come back and get the W. Clarence Peace and Cory Hicks reached on singles and Keith Goodwin was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Pratt Maynard's RBI single made it 8-7. Josh Darroch's single plated two runs for the victory. As usual, Coach Dease's squad, so well-coached, should be a threat to go deep in the playoffs.

    Orange 8 11 1
    SGHS 9 8 3

    W-Darroch (3-1) 1 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 K, 0 BB
    L- Jarvis

    Orange- Larry McDonald 3-4, 2B, 3 RBI
    Marquis Riley 2-4, 2B, RBI
    Robby Dow 2-4
    J.T. Pope 2-4

    SGHS-Josh Darroch 2-4, 4 RBI
    Clarence Peace 2-4, 3B, 2 RBI
