Jeff Schaefer…Five Keys To Hitting Class Begins Tuesday!
I was fortunate to have played professional baseball for 14 years. During that I prided myself on not only being the best player I could possibly be but a student of the game. Good students never hesitate to ask questions, and I asked and asked and asked. I wanted to know why they were so consistent. Over that amazing period of time I came to realized that the best hitters in the game had a simple recipe to hitting. Through asking questions and studying video of the best hitters in the game I found that there were 5 constants or keys to being a good hitter.

At CBC we have help 100's of kids go out and enjoy the success of hitting a baseball. Our approach to teaching the fundamentals of the game is first by explanation, second by drills, and third by practice and quality repetition. One of the best quotes in ever heard pertaining to making myself better as a player was "Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect".

I laugh when I am at games and people are screaming "Drive the Ball”! Or "Take it the other way"! My Favorite is "Straighten that one out"! These "fan" instructions are one of those "easier said then done". All those are easier to do if the hitter understands how it is done. This is why we take pride in being the #1 baseball instructional facility in the Greater Charlotte Area...because we teach to understand! We take our time with our approach to teaching so our students always come away with an understanding of how it all works and why. We want our students to be able to recognize the good and the bad and to have the knowledge and skill set to make the necessary adjustments.
