Hopewell vs East Meck tonight @7:00. Should be a great matchup. Pitching will be May for Hopewell. I'm certain Little will go for East Meck. :guns6:

This has to be one of the better match-ups in round 1. Has the makings of a great BB game. I'll be late but do plan to attend.

This was a strange game to me. I'm not sure why, but it didn't have the feel of a playoff game.

The first 2 innings were wild. A missplayed ball to the OF; a bungled suicide squeeze resulting in a double play led me to believe this game was going to be frentic. But it settled down into a pitcher's duel between Olen Little for EM and Hopewell's Hunter May.

After the 2nd inning May was cruising. To be honest, he had complete control and staked with a 5-1 lead, I thought this game was over. But David Daniels made it a bit exciting by going yard (his 2nd of the game) to close the gap to 5-3. You could see his brother, Leighton, praying that the batter before him would reach base and give him a chance to tie it up. But Hunter May battled and kept that from happening.

The bottom line is Hopewell won and they move on. That's all that counts. This is an extremely talented team on a roll. With Hunter Conley on deck for the bump, they will be ready for their next opponent--either Sun Valley or Myers Park.

I do have one request though from the Hopewell fans. I know you are passionate about your team based on the responses on this board, but you gotta quit sitting on your hands at the games. It's not a Lawrence Welk Production to sit back and enjoy...it's the Playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and your team is in it. Scream, shout, yell, sing....whatever it's going to take to let your team know you are there. I promise as you move forward that the teams you are playing will let you know THEIR team is there.

So c'mon let's hear the Titans roar!!!!!!

Yeah AJ.....he hated it. A lot of emotions on the field from both coaches. After the game, the EM players didn't want to leave the field until they all had a chance to speak to Chet. It was an emotional moment for all of them.

I thought it was very classy that the Hopewell fans gave EM's Olen Little an ovation for a job well done
