Hopewell vs North Mecklenburg

    WP: Christina Melton
    No Hitter

    With 2 outs in the bottom of fourth inning, and Kelly Braman at bat Christina Melton was hit by a ball in an attempt to pick her off at first. Christina was shook up a little but was able to stay in the game. Kelly then blasted a double to right field to score Melton from first. This proved to be the only score in the game, and it was all Hopewell needed to win.

    Great game tonite between two good teams, i beleive there was only like 8 base runners for both teams.

    It turned out to be hotter than expected at the Hopewell, North game.
    This snow cone didn't cool things off.

    Shot off fence!

    You can't quite see it in Paul's awesome video, but this hit by Kelly Braman was smoked on a line off the sign hanging on the right field fence. Huge hit! Play of the Game.

    Great pitching by both Christina Melton of Hopewell and Sarah Mooney of North Meck. North Meck is going to be tough to beat for the next 3 years, as long as Mooney is toeing the rubber.

    MECA conference now a three way tie between Hopewell, Central Cabarrus and North MEck. Should be interesting and fun down the stretch.
