    I don't know what else to say after reading that. Let's all keep their families and the students that witnessed this tragedy in our prayers.

    What a senseless tragedy. I'm sorry, but I have no compassion for the attacker. For him to come back and continue his pummeling...there is absolutely no excuse.

    I'll pray for both families as their lives will never be the same.

    The title of this thread shouldn't be horrible news...it should read something like Stupidity Claims Student's Life.


    Prayers for the family of the deceased....God's mercy to the attacker...he's gonna need it.

    Grant played for me on the 18U Dirtbags this summer... a fine young man, theis is aweful!!

    This is so sad. My heart goes out to Grants family. You know the attacker's family has to be heartbroken as well. I just wonder what the attacker's history was. If he had been in trouble or a bully.

    I remember you and I talking about a lesson that you taught Grant this summer. How he struggled in one particular game, so you had to send in relief. Grant never experienced being taken out of a game before and was bummed about it. You told him to forget about it and to get ready for his next opportunity....which he did. He shut down the next team he faced.

    He was a very nice young man and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to allow him to touch my life.

    You know Patti, one of the ironies is this happened not at a State U, but at a "Christian" college. This is so tragic at so many levels.

    i found followers of religion to be very ironic and those that toot their horn the loudest, some of the biggest frauds as Dan Thomas Davis III proved.
