The Pineville Pioneers are still in need of a few host families... Not only is it a great way to get involved, but these collegiate players historically build great relationships with your younger players.... If you are interested or would like to learn more info about the program please contact [email protected] or PM me. I have also attached a FAQ on the program. We are in need of about 5-6 families. The team will play in the Pineville, NC area on the south end of Charlotte.

    Thank you for your consideration.

What a great experience this is for the host families. Many hosts have young baseball players and what a thrill for them to develop a relationship with a college player.

The shared experience with the players go much further then one season. Most develop a relationship that last a lifetime: Many participate in weddings, vacations and graduations as years go by. And in some cases, some have become role models for the player and, in one case, was the first a player called when promoted to the "Show."

I encourage anyone in the Charlotte area to get involved in this great opportunity. It's an experience you will always remember.

We are still looking for a couple in the Huntersville/Mooresville/Concord area as well for the Lake Norman Copperheads. If interested, contact Derek Shoe at [email protected].

Way to step up extra! You will have a blast....

So, based on this one response, we have found only 1 family to host? Please I hope that's not the case. In past years we have found many members and member's friends that have helped out. It's important for everyone to get involved; either by hosting or volunteering your services. These are nonprofit organizations and they need the communities help to continue to provide an opportunity for college players to play baseball.

SUPPORT SUMMER COLLEGE BASEBALL ...great players, great games and great fun. To become a host family can be one of the most enriching things you have ever done.

the good news braves is that as of Friday we have fulfilled all our housing needs with families that stepped up. None happened to come from TBR this time, but hopefully next year.
