All the schools know about Timmy. Timmy has a nasty curve, but he can not throw every pitch. Against showcase talent, players laid off the curve and ripped the fastball, which is only average for college. He is over powering high school teams just like he did last year. He will land somewhere and someone will finally teach him how pitch so he won't have to throw so many curve balls. When he learns how to pitch off his fastball, he will become agreat pitcher.

When King played with the Charlotte Megastars didn't he have some of the best stats on the team during showcase ball? When I see him pitch I see him use the curve with 2 strikes- mixing it in for a second pitch strike every now and then. Not many people can hit it. So far it's keeping teams off balance- I say use your strengths!

If a team has a good approach they'll kill a kid who's fastball isn't that great, no matter how good the curveball is. I'm not knocking this kid at all because I've never seen him play, just saying if his fastball isn't great he'll get beat.

    South Caldwell

South Caldwell, as a team, is off to a very hot start. They are currently 9-0 and no one really have played them close. Two of their pitchers are also off to a smokin start. Madison Bumgarner is off to a hot start on the mound and at the plate. On the mound he is 4-0, with a .33 ERA and 40 k's in 21 innings. At the plate he is hitting 440 avg with 14 RBI and 2 HR. Matt Gragg is also off to a hot start. On the mound he is 3-0, with a .82 ERA and 26 k's in 17 innings. These two guys are two of the top pitchers in the state and the way the other guys are hitting and fielding behind them, this team is going to be awful tough to beat.

    Timmy King

We played the Megastars this fall but King was not with them. I have never had the chance to see him pitch. But the numbers do not lie. The success he has had speaks for itself. From everything I have heard from people I respect in the game he is outstanding and the stats back it up. You do not have to have an overpowering fastball to be a great pitcher. If you can locate and have good offspeed stuff and know how to pitch then you will be effective and obviously he is. My hats off to him for putting up those numbers you have to be good to do that.
