How did your son do today?

I do not have a son playing high school ball anymore BUT the joy I got from watching him play his 4 years was just awesome. I know a lot of kids around the state and would love to keep up with everything they accomplish on the field each game.

I know you TBR parents are just as proud of your kids as I was of mine so please use this thread to post anything he does in a game that brought your family some joy.

Please include his name and don't be shy, post anything he does. The kids deserve the press for all the memories they accomplish for us.

YESTERDAY: My son Marc went to class at UNCW and did not fall asleep!!

Go on tell me how your son did in his game. Good luck to all the kids.

 

Okay, I'll bite.

He went 1 for 3 and a HBP. 2 RBI's, 2 stolen bases and scored both times on. Did his job in centerfield. I thought the team looked very good for their first game of the season.

This is interesting. How come all of the players that participated in games this week don't have parents? Because I would expect that more would post. Please people, this is the thread to boast. No one will criticize your proud moments in here.

 

I love to hear about others, but I just think it's tough to 'brag' (for lack of a better word) on self or our kids accomplishments. As soon as we post about a great game, you can be sure that the next game will be not be as good and someone will say..."I thought she said her kid could hit/field/run etc." Games are up and down so for the most part, I don't think we want to jinx the good ones and build up expectations.

BTW, my son hasn't had a game yet, but he did wash his own uniform last night and when I took him his favorite meal to school the other day his face lit him and he said, "mom....you are awesome!" Gosh, I love that kid!

Trey catcher Parkland High school awoke at 7:15 am on Tuesday am eager for opening day at home. Calls at 4:00 pm rain out practice in the gym. Awakes today. Bitting at the bit. Was taking practice swings in his room at 7:30 am. Update later.
