Sorry to have to start a new thread. I tried to reply on 3 different occasions to other post. It would not let me send my reply.

Seasonal Limits: 23 games, 24 games if an endowment is played. This is total. The JV program is considered an extension of the Varsity program.

Weekly limits: 4 games per week, not to exceed 3 days. Only 3 days in a week can have playing dates. You can play 2 DH's in a week for 4 games. You cannot play 4 single game contests in a week unless the 4th is on a non-school day for both teams.

    From the National Federation Handbook:

Rule 3-1-3: The team's line-up card shall include name, jersey number, position and batting order of each starting player and should include each eligible substitute. Lineups become official after they have been exchanged, verified and then accepted by the home plate umpire during the pregame conference.

Rule 3-2-2: No players on the same team shall wear identical numbers.

Rule 3-3-1: A player, who is not listed as an eligible substitute on the lineup card, shall not be prohibited from playing.

Rule 3-3-2: A substitute may replace any player when the ball is dead or time has been called. the substitute or coach shall report to the home plate umpire at the time of the change by stating name and jersey number of the player entering the game for the first time. This includes the courtesy runner.

Rule 8-9-7: A courtesy runner must be reported to the plate umpire. If a courtesy runner fails to report, she is considered to be an unreported substitute.

To clarify: If a player is listed as a starter or as an eligible substitute, or if she enters the game as a courtesy runner, that player has participated in that game. This means it would count against their weekly and seasonal limits. Hope this helps!!

    Yes!

Let me try to sort everything out.

    JV game = 1 game
    Varsity game = 1 game

If a young lady plays in both games, that will be two games for her that day.

    Now comes the confusion:

If she plays in a JV/Varsity game on another day of the week that is ok for her total of 4 games. This is where the rule of not to exceed 3 days comes in. She can play in only four games in a week. What this amounts to is she can play combinations if she does not exceed the 4 game limit in 3 days. Also, she would be ineligible to play on a non-school day such as Saturday for either Varsity or JV, because 4 is the total for the week. Also, the seasonal limit for any young lady, JV or Varsity or any combination of the two is 23 games, and 24 if one is an endowment game.

Ask again if there are other questions!
