    I agree...it's great when our young people have something constructive to do. There is so much more to sports than the game itself.

    My dad played for Greenwood.

    Sorry for sort of 'highjacking' this thread.

    I was born there too and lived there until I was 9 then moved to Conway which is where I graduated from. So I have a sacaralina edumacation too.

    I had an uncle that played legion ball back in the 60's for Greenwood. Keibler James, he was drafted but wouldn't leave his girlfriend behind and got married instead. Man them womens can mess up a ball player. My wife tells my son and his friends to "stay away from them she-debils". But they don't listen to her.

    It is a small world! My dad played on the 1953 State Championship Team. My dad was drafted too, but went in to the ministry instead.

    My husband always tells our son to leave the girls alone until he finishes baseball. He has heard of too many horror stories about girls messing up baseball. I don't think to many teenage boys listen when it comes to that...they may try, but for some reason their hormones win over their brains! lol
