    :applause: to Ryan. One of the smoothest pitchers I have seen in the State. Just what Elon needed....another quality arm :D

    Elon should move up to D1-A...they could compete with anyone.

    Congrats Ryan. I know that your dad is proud of you and your choice. Elon is a great school and they are luck to land a baseball player of your caliber. Good luck with your collegiate career. Again CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

    Congratulations BASH! We are very proud of you, and know your parents are extremely proud of you also. What an exciting time this must be for you and your family! Elon is lucky to be getting you. And, tell "Little Bash" his time will be here before he knows it.

    per the paper today, Vandy UN-committed to everyone they had been speaking to by folding the Ath Dept into the rec program and ending all D1 athletic teams (@ some future date presumably). I think Fronk @ CCS had been talking to them. :confused:

    Concerning Vandy ....

    They "say" that they are committed to continuing to compete in all D1 sports in the SEC and NCAA. It remains to be seen if this is just a "pre-cursor" to cutting back. The Intermural teams and the D1 teams are under the same umbrella now.

    By rolling the Athletic Department into the Intermural and Rec department and putting it under the Academic part of the University, they expect cost savings ...... They whopped of a big chunk of money when the let the A.D. go ....

    They may be saving money, but it's going to be hard to ever say if the move was successful. After all, they've lost 27 out of their last 28 SEC football games ..... they could be going from bad to worse and no one could tell.
