Congrats to Ryan Wilson! WCU is lucky to be getting a player of your caliber! You are one of the best catchers I've seen this year.
    Go Catamounts!!

They didn't even let him go...they transferred his title, but I bet his salary is the same.

I must be missing something. I still don't understand how they are saving money. They still have to pay for the coaching staff and all of the scholarships. So, unless they are leaving the SEC and becoming a 'Club" team sports, where are they saving the money?

...now, I know that Reid Fronk was/is considering Vandy very strongly, but I'm sure he is a little puzzled as well. Maybe he can come on here and better explain their intentions at Vanderbilt

Congratulations to Grey Gregory on his recent verbal commitment to Western Carolina University. Grey is a second baseman at Richmond Senior HS and currently playing with the Uwharrie Anglers. WCU is getting both a quality player and an excellant student.

I'm pretty sure that Fronk has narrowed his choices down to 2, Vanderbilt and Carolina, from what i've heard, reid really likes the coach at vandy

Congratulations Reid! It's been an honor playing with you on the Mudcats all these years! Not only is UNC getting an extremely talented baseball player - they are also getting a player with great character and values. Way to go Reid!
