Please respond if you know of any HS softball scrimmages that have openings. I know they are several, but we are looking for scrimmages surrounding Iredell County. Looking for a Saturday so we can play more than one game. West Iredell is also open to hosting a 4 or 5 team round robin scrimmage. We have lights and I am sure it will not be COLD....

How does one scrimmage a HS softball team and adhere to the 8 player max. rule that in effect this time of year for off-season workouts?

Freedom has one on 2-17- but it's full (16 teams)

Kings Mtn has one on 2-24 as I believe Alexander Central does too.

North Davidson has one on March 3rd ( but is also probably full)

    Anyone else?

    Scrimmages

Sorry, I should have clarified spring 07. But one of the comments brings up an interesting thought. Could you have scrimmages in the fall as long as you had eight or less of your players?

to my knowledge, yes as long as it's not a dead period. problem with fall is the multi sports girls playing volleyball, golf, crosscounty, etc, etc.

    yes but

it would be a great chance to see your new girls in a game setting early. but most coaches may not want to take a chance before "true" tryouts and cuts. may give some kids and parents the wrong impression about what may be the real deal in the spring, know what I mean Vern??

& fall workouts are not mandatory.

fall workouts cant be mandatory, but you can bet it isnt that way everywhere. i'm happy to see a few come and work out on the field before it gets too cold. parents are parents, hs or tb, it runs the same. this year is really something, have had five mothers approach me and ask where their jv daughter will end up??????? i just smile and leave the question unanswered. right vern???
