Just a word of note, once again, Time Warner will be covering all 8 state title games, and putting them on the Carolina On Demand channel, 1234 for viewing.

I do not know how quickly they will be available, but last year, most, if not all, were there by the following Monday.

The 4AA final between New Bern and Independence will be shown LIVE on News 14 Carolina throughout the state.

Good luck to all teams that will play for the title, and I hope you guys will check them all out, once the games are available On Demand.

    Outstanding!

Thanks for the note, Solarte1969....can't wait to see it!

Is there any way that News14 Carolina would ever consider a high school "Game of the Week" during football season?

I'd love to see a game from Maiden, Shelby, West Charlotte, AL Brown, Concord, Watauga, etc. over the course of a season. It would really be a neat thing to spotlight different regions, different conferences, and different small town football cultures from our viewing area......any thoughts?

I know Time Warner does games like that, but I generally am not privvy to their schedule. I can certainly try and find out for next year.

Somebody from somewhere did the Crest/Huss game this year. I had a friend that said he saw it on Time Warner.

It would be nice if they carried a game every Friday night at 7:30PM (live) during the season. I bet they'd get pretty good attendance if they would choose good games and good venues to broadcast from.

NCHSAA doesn't allow live TV during the season. They allow live for 1 title game, and its generally the 4AA (or has been the last 2 years anyway). they don't want TV to hurt the gate, but in a state title game, people that want to be there will be, so TV doesn't crush them like it would in, say, week 6 or something. That;s why they wouldn't allow ESPNU to do the Indy-Butler game (final week of the season last season), to be live.

They should have scheduled the games so that Shelby - Reidsville was the prime time game.

By far that will be the best game of the eight. Would love to watch that one live.

I am going to be calling both the 4A and 4AA games in Winston-Salem.

Good luck to Bruce Clark and North Gaston. I hope they play well.
