...by the sudden death of Donald Moody Assistant Football coach and Baseball Coach at Warren County High School. Coach Moody (age 31) had a heart attack last night. My condolences to his wife and family. I had the pleasure of getting to know Coach Moody this past summer while he coached the Triangle All-Star Babe Ruth Team on which my son played. Coach Moody had a fine baseball mind and was able to do more with a lot of kids who did not have the advantages of some others. He carried himself with dignity and represented baseball with class.

In peace, find your rest, my friend.

This is truely a sad day. Having coached against Coach Moody the past couple of years I have gotten to know him well. He did wonderful things on and off the field to show what kind of man he was. He was a great family man as well as coach. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Stories like this should really help us to put things in perspective and know what is and isn't important.

God Bless Moody's family. Moody was always a classy acting coach whenever we had to go up to there to umpire. He really loved baseball and he showed in it in how he worked with his boys at Warren County.
