    ...my brain is officially ball soggy.

    Team A and Team B play in what is titled as "District Round 5/25". Team A wins the game, Team B loses the game...

    Team A is then the district champ and Team B is then 2nd in District?

    And what on earth are the districts in NC?

    (I warned you, head is ball soggy. Answers are in there somewhere, simply cannot fish them out)

    my guess is its a leftover from days gone by.

    if you take the next round as sectionals that makes sense as you have 4-5 conferences in each half of a regional. (wildcards being the exceptions)
