    Mojo...

    Looks like Hopewell has overcome their recent swoon and has gotten their mojo back in a big way with impressive wins over Mallard Creek and Hough by wide margins. They have as much talent on the field as anyone in the Charlotte area with Russell, Conley, Hammond, Underwood, Auten, Bertone and Blair.

    A deep playoff run is definitely possible for this group based on the way they are playing now....

    Mallard Creek defeats Hopewell did not catch score.
    Mooresville defeats Lake Norman (3rd time this year)

    MC vs Msvl Monday for the Championship.

    Hopewell 4

    Tied 4-4 heading to bottom of seventh, a leadoff E-4, followed by an E-5 put runners at second and third with no outs. The next hitter was intentionally walked to load the bases. The next hitter singles to right to drive in the winning run.

    Mooresville 10
    Lake Norman 8

    LN trailed 10-4 heading to bottom of seventh, however, the hits piled up and next thing you know it's 10-8 with runners on second and third and two out. However, Mooresville got a K to end it. T

    Mallard Creek 5 Hopewell 4.. Excellent game

    Both teams competed hard but respectfully. Something I can not say about the two teams in the nightcap.
    Tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the 7 th, Mallard Creek played small ball pushing around the walk off run with nobody out.
    Worth noting:
    Blaine Lewis 3 run frozen rope.
    Mikal Hill 2 for 3. 2B
    Tyler McCarthy started and went 5 strong innings
    Sophomore Kirk Morgan closed and got the win with a no hit 6th and
    7th.

    the thing was. the mooresville players, i know numbers, took it to level to deliberately yell towards the lake norman fans, with our the lkn fans instigating.

    poor sportsmanship

    it's pretty simple. Those that exhibit poor and classless sportsmanship either think it is justified for some reason or they think it gives them an edge of some type (that's just hard-nosed baseball). The ones on the receiving end are offended and often rise to the level of the instigators with their behavior. The ones with no dog in the fight just think it is pathetic or laughable.
