    It seemed like Lewis and Wilkerson were running the bases every inning.

    Mavs played great tonight. Lewis is playing great and would definitly help any program. Wilkerson has been playing great as well, i think he was 3 for 3, single,double, triple and couple of rbi's. Kid can fly and has great range in outfield.

    Must also give major props to Michael Boles. 6 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs. Didn't need all those hits and runs the way he was throwing. He was up and down-in and out- changed speeds. He was virtually unpredictable. I have heard that he and Lewis are weighing options and should decide soon.

    Congrats to the Mallard Crk Mavs on their tournament title and best of luck to all the I-MECK teams as they move into the states. Sure did miss not going to the games every Tues and Fri....maybe next year!!!

    How about a title game?

    I enjoyed the games at UNCC last night. I got there late (3rd inning of first game) but what I saw was powerful. Two top notch teams. Too bad we are not having a winners game tonight. I am not sure who I would put my money on.
    The notion that Mallard Creek is all about speed and defense is mistaken. They are more than Mikal Hill and Kirk Morgan. Bole's bump work and Lewis' bat were all they needed last night.

    I look for a McCarthy night on Friday. If these kids put ALL their talents on display for the next few weeks we may have a new state champion. See you Friday night at the Creek........:couch:

    If I read the bracket correctly MC will be home. The higher seed is listed on top of all the pairings and MC is listed on top of Sun Valley.

    You have to look at the NCHSAA's seeding priority. The SCC is listed before the IMECK this year. Same thing happened in basketball.

    When and where will the Mallard Creek, Sun Valley game be played?? The brackets from NCHS tell nothing.
