When I filled up the Suburban last weekend for the next TRAVEL ball tourney, it cost nearly $85 (the car was not empty). Pretty soon I will have to decide if my daughter gets a new bat or do we drive to the tournament.

 

We are staying over night if it is an hour and a half away, maybe even an hour. You get more sleep, breakfast is included and the girls have a blast. If you double up on a room, I think you will actually save money by staying. We are staying this weekend!

 

It's Pretty Bad !!!

It's pretty bad when it cost more for a gallon of gas than what you make per hour !!!

Im honestly surprised rates havent gone up more already but of course fewer folks are driving even tho more of us sadomasochists may be overnighting at TB tournaments.

 

Actual prices

I was in King City, California two weeks ago and I had to get a picture of these prices. If prices get like this around here this summer, I honestly think a some of the younger travel teams in the area will call it quits.

It is sad that teams may fold over gas prices. But it is a serious issue. I have one playing basketball and one playing softball. We make decisions based on gas prices every weekend. And, yes, we are staying more this year than in the past. WOW! Where will it end?
