someone try to describe a scenario whereby metal bats would actually be banned for HS and/or college.

I just can't imagine how that would ever actually happen.

    Its part of the game.

Its just part of the game. It rewards the team with the good catcher and hurts the team with the not so good catcher. When you throw that cb or cu in the dirt up in the count with a runner on third it is baseball strategy. You do it if you trust the guy behind the plate and you use it to your advantage. If you dont trust that guy behind the plate it takes that pitch out of your arsenal and it hurts your team. It is a part of the game and I like it. To me there is nothing worse than seeing the ball roll to the backstop and the batter is walking to the dugout in little league games. Block the ball and make a throw. Get your butt out of the box and dont pout, make something happen. It is part of the game and I think it just adds to the excitement of the game. JMO

EOR...I think we all probably agree the likely hood of this changing is "slim to none" because of the revenue generated (Braves...that means money). This is mainly a pipe dream most of us old timers would like to see come back to baseball.
