flotg...you are correct, the pitcher still gets credit for the strikeout.

Wood bats! But, as has already been mentioned, only if colleges make the move to wood as well.

    6Ks in one inning!

Don't be too hard on those catchers, how else is a pitcher going to record 6 strike outs in one inning... He's got to have help!

    Dropped 3rd strikes....

I hate to see that rule changed. I can admit this now, but back in my playing days (waaaay back when) if I was ever being overpowered by a pitcher (which happened more than once) and I had 2 strikes and knew I had no chance,,,,, if that sumbitch sailed one up high or waaay outside,,,,,, I was aswinging and arunning and hoping the catcher had no chance to catch it either..... :woohoo:

You gotta get on base anyway you can right? Actually I think it worked once.....:satana:

    Just another perspective...

Dbacks,,,,, exactly, and I watch these kids nowadays and they just make it hard on themself. How many times in todays games does it appear that a pitch hit a batter and folks from the stands even hollar "it hit him",,, then the umpire asks the batter and the batter says "no".

Man, anything that came close to me back in my day, and I was grabbing something...:bananalam
