Not much love for the Triangle teams. I think Green Hope will be good.

I felt the same way about the Triangle teams especially the Tri-9. The top 4 in that conference are very strong, but they will beat up on each other. Each one will be capable of beating the other with their ace on the hill. They will shine in the playoffs.

I'm a little suprised East Rowan didn't get any love in 3A. With Bradley Robbins on the mound, they can beat anyone. Andy Austin, Nathan Fulbright, etc. anchor a good offense. I'm not sure they are a top 5 program, but they will be good. They won't be challenged very often in the NPC.

There are 5-6 teams you could plug into the Top Ten each year and they deserve the attention, but, personally, it is fun to see both New Bern and Watauga get the early season attention.

Smitty at New Bern has done am amazing job through the years and I'm glad to see them get attention. However, I haven't heard a peep from Coach Hardee in a long time, so it doesn't surprise me that he has a loaded and talented team. I'm sure he was hoping to fly under the radar. The best thing for him is the beautiful weather this winter. He may be the only person in Boone loving it. ( I say that knowing it's going to snow tonight and tomorrow.)

We scrimmaged Davie county saturday. They have a great team. We are looking forward to playing at ardrey kell and providence. Hope to see Braves and catch up!!

That is a pretty tough schedule. Won't be many easy games in conference this year either. Going to be a battle most nights.
