    09's

There were some very impressive 09's at this event. I may miss some with this post but I promise someone that was there will correct that.

Nick McBride / Sean Pope / Parker Thomas / Tyler Joyner / Chris Munneley

There were some more other than these. Braves Im sure will have a post as well.

McBride has a great pitchers body. Tall and lean and very athletic. He would be a top level guy if he was just a posistion player imo. His mechanics are very good and he is nice and easy on the delivery. He throws it very well and you can see there is alot more in the tank down the road. He should have a great year in hs. He will be as good as he wants to be. No limits on what Nick can achieve imo.

Pope is a thick body type with a very live arm. I noticed he had lost some of that baby fat - probaly because he works his butt off - and he really looked good. Pope has a easy delivery and is the exact opposite of a max effort guy. He has great velocity and a nice breaking pitch. He is so strong for a kid his age. Sean is going to be a beast on the hill this year. I really believe he is going to be a top 3 guy in the state his senior year. Tons of upside.

Parker Thomas has the body of a college player right now. I mean you look at him and he is built like a 22 year old man already. Tall and put together big time. His delivery is very sound and he has some juice on the ball for sure. He's got a nasty off speed pitch and he threw it for strikes consistently. His fastball is very good and he can locate. This is the first time I have seen him and I was very impressed to say the least. Mt Tabor has a big time prospect in this young man. And he still has two years of hs baseball to play.

Tyler Joyner is a lefty that has already verballed to ECU. Tyler is a stocky kid with a great fluid delivery. The ball jumps out of Tylers hand and his slider is just plain nasty. It is the type of pitch that will produce a ton of siwng and misses. Tyler is a bulldog on the hill and brings it. It will be fun to see this guy this season for Northern Nash.

Chris Munneley is polished in my opinion. Fluid effortless delivery and a super quick arm. He throws strikes with four pitches and the ball jumps out of his hand. He has already verballed to UNC and you can see why when you see this young man throw the baseball. He is lean and has good height for a pitcher. He is only going to get better in the next two years. Now thats scary for opposing teams that have to face him.

As far as gun readings Im sure Coach Partin will post these on his site soon. There were some more 09's and 08's that were very good. These are the guys I saw that impressed me. It was tough to bore in on everyone because there was alot going on at the same time.

    Im not sure

when he will do his report on the event. Im sure it will be in the near future on his website. I also have no idea if he will have it on the site where you need to be a subscriber or not. Hopefully the people that read and post here will report as well. There were several TBR folks at the event.

I got some gun readings by asking staff members but AP Im sure will post them when he does his report on the event.

I spoke to the Dad of one of the players that attended. He said that his son has already been contacted by 3 MLB teams wanting his schedule so they can come watch him play. It must have done him good to attend. That is awesome.

This is a definite "must do" event. Nearly every ML team was represented, including the Braves.
