There was something else I forgot to mention. Our state became very close to losing an outstanding HS baseball coach in Dave Brown to Florida. But we corraled him on I-85 and wouldn't let him go until he was dropped on Coach Billings lap in Hopewell. He was made an offer he couldn't refuse...and the rest is history.

It was so exciting to see him back on the field of an Impact Showcase where he was one of the original coaches. It let me know that things were back to normal in NC HS baseball.

It was great to see you again, Coach....and welcome to Charlotte. We are honored to have your family here.

From the look of things, it appears that Andy is telling you that same boring story that he tells everyone...that he's broke! When in reality the only thing broke about Andy are his hands...they don't seem to be able to reach his pockets when the bill arrives.

You should be very wary of that character on the left.

    It was a blast!

I have to say it was alot of fun to work with Stretchy. We had a great time doing the game. And Coach Boone is a special person. What an honor to meet him and get the chance to talk football with him. I dont know how good a job we did Stretchy but I know we had a good time!

What an experience in the booth Friday night

The following is what I experienced Friday night being schooled by Coach 27!!

RS calling the action: The tall guy standing up takes the ball from under the legs of the guy in the middle and gives it to the fast kid behind him and he runs past a huge guy into an empty area of the field and runs for a little while before he is stopped by some big guys. Golly day that was a nice play by that football runner Kenny.

KM calling the action: The QB after calling an audible receives the snap from the 250 lb center and cleanly hands it off to the tailback who spots a wide open hole, due to the tackle clearing out the defensive end, and with a burst of speed goes for a 27 yard gain before he is gang tackled by the secondary. Now that was a perfectly executed must have 3rd down play designed by the offensive coordinator wasn't it Richard.

RS: What in the world did you just say?
