It may be difficult to compile such a list, but it's easy to relate to.

Congratulations to all the guys that made the list. From1 to 100, it's quite an accomplishment.

Thanks Andy for the Top 100!
I agree NCBBallFan- the top of the list is a given.
There are some names that are new to me.
It is an honor to be on a list like this considering like Andy said,

"There are thousands of players out there at almost four hundred high schools in North Carolina."

There are probably some fringe players out there that did not make the list. This should be motivation to try harder. Work on weakness's in the off season. I know my son is doing just that.
I love this quote " Baseball players are made in the off season."

Congrats to everyone who made the List!

One thing I have learned from these list are that pitchers should be on totally different list. It should be the position players on one list and the pitchers on another. How is a kid that throws 90 plus not going to be #1 and don't even say its because he wasn't seen much. He played for Andy. The #1 player is a good player but not as good as the other guy. I have played both and there is no way they are even close. Sorry don't mean to be cuttin him down or anything but thats how good this other kid is.

    List

Is the list anywhere but on the subscription side of Impact?

I don't envy the job Andy had at all in evaluating all of these players. I think we would all be biased to a certain extent if we had to come up with a top 100 list of my own. For example, I have a player that I think should be on the list, but he isn't, and I have coached several players on that list in the State Games. Does that make Andy wrong o his top 100? Certainly not. What he does, he does to earn a living, and if he is earning a living, well for him to stay in it as long as he has, he must have a gertain amount of credibility.

There may be things that I know more than Andy because I may have been around certain players more than he, but at the same time, I have not seen nearly as many players in the Carolinas and Virginia as Andy, so how can I say he doesn't know his stuff. Besides, what he sees on any Saturday will differ from another day simply because these are kids.

One list is not the "gospel", if you really want to get a start on any top 100, you should compare lists and see which players' names keep popping up. If the same players are on several lists, then these must be the "cream of the crop". As far as fringe players go, well any given player can stand out on any day, more specifically, very good players can have great days and under the right circumstances this could elevate their status and help their chances to play in college or beyond.

I think that we should all realize that this state is full of quality players. Maybe if someone did break up any list into top pitching prospects and top overall position players, that it would be a good idea. For example, what makes a pitcher-only a better player than a player that is smooth in the field, fast as lightning, and can mash it!? So if somebody did that, it might be helpful.

For the record, Andy does a great job promoting basebal in NC, but like us all he is entitled to his opinion, and is entitled to publish it.

I couldn't agree more, Coach. I know that all of us at TBR appreciate what Andy does to promote players in our state. We jhave a great relationship with him and one I believe will be long lasting.

As far as lists go...they are fun and great topic discussions. Just like Sweet 16's and other lists and creates discussions on who was missed who he we think should have been added....that's what makes them fun. I hope nobody places too much importance on where on stands because of a list.

I love Prepster's comments about lists. If you are not on it, use it as motivation to get even better

I couldn't agree more. That's what I tell my players (if you arent on it, then work harder to get on it). I just don't like to see what I read as someone putting down another person, but I guess it is like Monday morning quarterbacks, huh?

It is lots of fun reading controversarial topics though, it gets your brain working!!
