All of these negative comments are........

All of these negative comments are typical of every Impact sponsored tournament we have attended.

The clear message here is typical of every one we have attended: rude people, overriding interest in getting $$$$$, and most of all the worst hot dogs imaginable. Everybody they have working the games are not helpful and could not care less.
I say all this even as a foster parent of a DB.

The clear message here is stay away from all Impact sponsored events.

    ImpactBaseball

I think the best thing to do is to attend Prospect Camps facilitated by the school's coaching staff and stay away from any "showcase" camp given by ImpactBaseball.

ImpactBaseball is also raking in a lot of $ off the backs of hardworking parents with these ImpactBaseball tournaments. They charge anywhere between $650 - $800 for the entry fee for a tournament. Then they charge as much as $15 per adult, per weekend at the gate. It doesn't matter if you only plan to attend one day or one game. That pretty much eliminates Grandma and Grandpa attending. Their prescription drug costs are taking most of their monthly income. If it rains any considerable amount, ImpactBaseball will surely cancel the remaining games, even an entire day of games. They do not offer a refund on any portion of the gate fee or tournament fee. With a gate fee of $15, you would think they could at least provide someone to work the scoreboard.

They advertise the tournament venue to be played at major Universities, but you are lucky if you get to play one game there. Its actually high school fields you play at. You can also have to travel as much as 1 hour between a day's games, making it even more costly due to gas expenses.

And what is this "housing" thing. In order to be accepted into the tournament, besides paying the tournament fee, ImpactBaseball is requiring families stay at hotels of their choosing. I can only guess that this is another way to make money. In the past, coaches of the travel ball teams were able to obtain team discounts at hotels. You were also able to cancel a night or book only 1 night. You can't do that with this new policy. I had to pay for 2 nights even though I only needed one night. And, the team coaches might get stuck having to pay for rooms that were not booked and paid for by a family.

ImpactBaseball's owner is forgetting why he got into this business.

Anything good to say about the Impact leadership?

I think not! If the posts here are incorrect or unfounded one might think Impact "bosses" would reply to set the record straight.
I definitely agree with the comment about the lack of use of the scoreboards.
I know of no other organization that does not use the scoreboards.

When did Impact and the DB's become such:apeani: a second class organization??

    Where did Vanilla Schaef go?

He always runs great tournaments - who needs stinkin scoreboards anyway.
