Improving Foot speed

    I'll second that from kboy....great place at the Greensboro batting center....probably one of the premier centers for baseball in the triad. Carmine and his staff get results

    Coach hit it on the head here. Downhill running does make sense as he mentioned. We do a variety of dot drills, ladder drills and jumping rope here also. We probably don't do enough of it, but it is something we work on. We also do plyometricsto work on explosion and stride, which adds to speed. Running technique is important, loose in the stride landing on the balls of your feet rather than the heels helps also.

    we also try to do a lot of transition running. sprint to jog to sprint etc. this is more appropriate for baseball. you rarely just run at a flat out sprint without some type of transition in the game. we also work on starts.
