Just curious to see everyones thoughts on in season weight training...some of you with experience...how often and when etc...how about at school...did your school have a good lifting program or was it very sporadic?

If it is sport specific, and not too taxing, I believe it is a great way to stay healthy and strong throughout the year. That being said, a lot of schools have football coaches that do the weight training, and treat the girls like football players. Not a good situation.

    limited during season

During off season should be some form of heavy lifting. During early season back off heavy and then work on wrist curls and legs squats or jump rope...

college experience for DD thus far: focus on increasing max weight in off season. Focus on quick muscle fiber build up during season by backing ofmax weight and doing fast/quick reps plus more agility training than off season.
