Inconsistency in Legion Baseball rulings..

Not sure of the incident you are referring to that you fail to recall.
In the Eastern Tournament game I was sitting directly in front of the press box and heard adult fans of the team which we are speaking of berating the SN players including name calling. At least one of the "parent coaches' was involved in this before the aforementioned SN supporter confonted them asking them to refrain from name calling and show a little class. This was also the game where the umpire had two football coaches, dressed in muscle shirts and shorts, from this same school removed from the dugout for unacceptable behavior.

The U12 state games team that I mentioned feature 3 kids from Ahoskie, a couple from Tarboro, Scotland Neck (who was the winning pitcher) as well as several from Rocky Mount.

As for Jack S, it was a borrowed idenity as I had not signed up for this forum at the time.

Braves and Big Byrd, I will ask around but I know nothing about the age being changed again.

The current way is that a player cannot turn 20 in the calendar year that he plays Legion in. So if you have a Jan-Feb birthday, you have a great baseball birthday. If you turn 20 in Dec, your mom should have held out a few more weeks...

 

Our coaches in area 3 were told by mr beason directly that they had to wear uniforms. I know our teams coaches tried to give up there uniforms to be able to carry a few extra players to give them an opportunity but that was shot down so this is a rule whether or not it is enforced or not.

 

That is Senior Legion, the question was about Jr. Legion & uniforms.
