Just to be clear: I said "North's playing surface is equal to any in the state"... Note I said "playing surface", not the entire facility. Our setting is super, but I admittedly have seen equal or better.

If you have not seen ND's field in the past month, then you need to take a 2nd look. North spent about $50,000 a year ago grading & then sprigging the field. Without a doubt in my biased mind, RIGHT NOW it is superior to any in the area, including Ernie Shore Field.

With reference to my handle: Yep, I am the same guy. If we are going to count stuff like the Helms Championship of 1924, then my name would be UKY9UNC4. Kentucky has 2 of them....But none in 2005, which is the one that counts the most. It's been a tough Spring!

north does have a great field. it's playing surface is very nice. there are several good fields around that are better than ernie shore's. west forsyth has a GREAT playing surface, but is lacking in seating and restrooms. rich park is nice as far as seating and concession and restrooms, but their playing surface sucks. north probably has the best overall around high school setting in this area. their softball field is excellent, baseball field, football field are all top quality. not to mention some of the best hotdogs around. mocksville rate high on their hotdogs also.
