Individual college showcase deadline approaching

    There is still plenty of time for you and any of your teammates to get registered for this Summer's Southern Star All-Star College Showcase events.

    The posted deadline to enter all August events is July 15, 2010, but we will continue to take applications through July 25, 2010. After that, all entries are final.

    We are very pleased to announce that our Florida event will be held at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL, August 28 & 29. The NTC is run by former Olympian and softball superstar Dr. Dot Richardson. We will have more details later on a softball skills combine that she will be hosting that morning prior to the all-star showcase.
    Our Georgia event will once again be held in Lovejoy, GA August 20 & 21, and we expect a full event there as well, just like the past two years.

    Please remember if your are a resident of Georgia and are participating in high school softball during this time period, you ARE still allowed to participate in these events. There are no GHSA rules disallowing it and your local school cannot dictate what you do on your own time. If you have a high school related event on either Saturday of these dates, you can request to be on a "Sunday Only" team.

    The cost for the all-star showcases are $150 for one or $250 if you want to enter both August events. The softball combine skills event in Florida will be a separate event with a separate entry form and fee. We will send that out as soon as it is finalized.
